![]() The SPEZI bike show in Germany offers opportunities to see and test a wide variety of recumbents, folding bikes, tandems, workbikes, family bikes, trikes, adapted bikes and trikes, trailers, velomobiles, and accessories. With its tenth anniversary in April 2005, the show has become a major spring event for "Special Bike" enthusiasts. From the smallest to the oldest, and the wheelchair-bound to the most athletic, SPEZI offers everyone a way to get into cycling. This photo from the Anderseck family in Germany. The Andersecks also built this child-sized recumbent with a 7-speed hub gear. It's easy to ride and stable enough to have won a "snail race" in 2004. |

![]() The children's test track is a favorite area. Young riders can check out several different commercial trikes as well as the Like-A-Bike and other bike-like scooters. The one shown in the center here can have pedals added later. I took these two photos in 2004. |
